The Blog

Homemade muesli is a powerful source of energy. It’s an old-world recipe that fits perfectly into a modern, clean lifestyle. The fun of this recipe lies in its simplicity and its texture. Imagine the bite of a crisp apple, the chew of sun-dried fruit, and the crunch of walnuts, all softened by a cold, creamy overnight soak.

The “Overnight” Secret

The secret to the perfect muesli is time. By mixing your oats with milk and spices the night before, you allow the oats to hydrate slowly. This makes them easier to digest and creates a silky consistency that’s refreshing in the summer and comforting when warmed in the winter.

The Recipe:

  • 2 cups Old-fashioned oatmeal
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon & ½ tsp Salt
  • 1/3 cup Chopped walnuts
  • ¼ cup Raisins & ¼ cup Dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup Sweetened coconut flakes
  • 3 cups Milk (dairy or your favorite nut milk)
  • 1 Apple, chopped and unpeeled (adds a fresh, garden-crisp crunch)

Instructions: Simply stir everything together in a large glass bowl or Mason jar. Pop it in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning, you can enjoy it cold right out of the jar or microwave it for 1–3 minutes if you prefer a warm porridge-like meal.

Make It Your Own

Part of the fun is using what you have. Raw honey adds a wonderful flavor. The best meals are the ones we can customize. Feel free to toss in a handful of fresh blueberries from your bushes or some sunflower seeds. This meal is a foundation for a productive, healthy day. It’s simple food that tastes like home.
