Basic Quiche Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 9″ pie shell
- 6 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup filling (we did cooked ham, chopped onion and chopped bell pepper)
- 1.25 cups half and half or milk
- 1/2 tsp. dill
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Instructions
- Brush inside of pie shell with small amount of beaten eggs.
- Prick bottom and sides and bake at 450 degrees until light brown.
- Put filling and cheese in bottom of baked pie shell.
- To beaten eggs, add remaining ingredients and stir until well combined.
- Pour over filling mixture.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes or until center is set.
- Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
