Basic Quiche Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 9″ pie shell
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup filling (we did cooked ham, chopped onion and chopped bell pepper)
  • 1.25 cups half and half or milk
  • 1/2 tsp. dill
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  • Brush inside of pie shell with small amount of beaten eggs.
  • Prick bottom and sides and bake at 450 degrees until light brown.
  • Put filling and cheese in bottom of baked pie shell.
  • To beaten eggs, add remaining ingredients and stir until well combined.
  • Pour over filling mixture.
  • Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes or until center is set.
  • Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
