Unveils New Greenhouses and Retail Spaces to Enhance Customer Experience

King, NC – November 15, 2024— Mitchell’s Nursery & Greenhouse is proud to mark 45 years of growth and dedication to the Triad horticulture community with a bold new expansion. This fall, the family-owned business unveils 18,432 square feet of new space, including 9,216 square feet of cutting-edge greenhouses and a 9,216-square-foot cold-framed retail area designed to showcase an expanded selection of trees, shrubs, and plants.

To celebrate this milestone, Mitchell’s invites you to a ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 20, 2024 at 9 AM. This free event culminates years of planning and hard work, offering plant lovers a chance to explore the new facilities and join in celebrating a legacy that represents decades in the making.

Located at 1088 West Dalton Road, King, NC 27021 the expansion increases Mitchell’s greenhouse space by 27%, enabling the nursery to grow an even broader range of plants onsite while enhancing the shopping experience with more space, greater variety, and seamless navigation.

As part of its anniversary celebrations, Mitchell’s invites visitors to experience the 2024 Poinsettia Trials. November 18-December 6, 2024. Featuring over 80 varieties of poinsettias grown onsite, Mitchell’s is one of only a handful of test sites nationwide for new poinsettia breeds. Each variety will be clearly labeled, and guests are encouraged to vote for their favorites, playing a role in shaping the future of poinsettia offerings.
