    Muffin Tin Mini Apple Pies

Apple Pie is an American classic that is always a hit at family gatherings during the Holidays. One recipe we enjoy here at Mitchell’s Nursery & Greenhouse are our Muffin Tin Mini Apple Pies. These sweet treats are delicious and they’re the perfect size for little hands. Here’s the ingredients and recipe:

    Ingredients:

1 Can of Pillsbury Grands Biscuits (8 Pies)
    1 Pillsbury soft pie crusts
4 Granny Smith apples, cored, finely chopped (about 1/4-inch pieces)
⅓ Cup Sugar, ⅓ Cup Brown Sugar
    ½ teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter or cooking spray
    1 tablespoon All-purpose flour
    ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 muffin tin

    Directions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
    2. In a medium saucepan on low heat, mix together your apples, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, half of your butter, salt and flour until you get a gooey consistency.
    3. Butter or spray your muffin tin and place a grand biscuit at the base of each, making sure you press down in the middle so there is a nice cavity.
    4. Fill the cavity with the apple mixture. Be sure not to overfill.
    5. Cut your soft pie crust into rows and overlay them on the biscuits. Use a butter knife to tuck in the edges.
    6. Sprinkle the surface with brown or white sugar and a bit of cinnamon.
    7. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until golden brown Sprinkle a little more sugar on top.
    8. Let cool and serve!
    Happy Munching!
